jackian
Yesterday one of my girls Florry was very poorly and listless and i did not know what to do .I posted a thread on here and with minutes someone had replied. I decided I needed to take her too the vet. Rang the vet and he said "I would not waste your money ,I would only give her antibiotics ,I know nothing about chickens ,Your nearest chicken expert is Wendover 30 miles away!! " I then kept watching and she was still under the hedge so picked her up put her in a box with chippings and left her inside the WIR. A lovely Omletier suggested it might be a soft egg even though she had laid an egg that morning...within an hour she had laid a soft egg in the box and gone into the coup to bed.... This morning she was as right as rain.

Chortle Chook
I am glad that Florry is well and that you were saved some mad vet prices
counturchickens
I agree, this forum saved Claudia jean from an impacted crop, and daisy from an egg membrane that was stuck.
