freddie
Just like the title says really!, so been a bit busy. The day job has gone from 25 to 37 hrs recently, which is too much for me with other commitments, and the house move too.,so I'm not broken hearted, but will miss the £. Teenagers are expensive. The house is... wet, inside and out. My sister called it the Rural Slum. she's right. We had to burn all the carpets,as the previous owners gifted us fleas by the thousand. The gutters all leaked, and the windows and doors. We have standing water in the dining room, and my furniture is blooming blue mould. The surveyors have a get out clause on the survey(they all do) I'm right fed up, can you tell!! And I have no hens; after all these years, and cant see when I'm likely to get some , either. bluekarin
Oh Freddie, that sounds horrible What is the point of surveyors if they can leave you with what you've got I hope things start to pick up for you soon. In the meantime, here's some big Omlet (((hugs))) from me
Ain't Nobody Here
Oh dear, that's not good . Hope you can get it sorted soon and start to enjoy your new house .
freddie
thanks... I know it all sounds like a big whinge, but everything is hanging damp, it just will not stop raining long enough to get anything to dry out at all, and I think we're all going to get trench foot. Should never have bought a house in the summer! In the middle of all this, my Aunt(94 and 51 weeks) died, in Norfolk, so we've been belting back and forth to get the funeral sorted, and the house closed down etc etc.... I need to hibernate, like my tortoise isnt, and should be.. If he doesn't get on with it, he'll go mouldy too!
bluekarin
It does not sound like a big whinge. It sounds perfectly reasonable to be, erm, peeved about something like this. A few brighter days will not only help the house and stuff dry out, but also help you feel a little brighter too. I think also you are expecting too much of yourself. House buying and death are two of the most stressful things to happen, and you have to contend with both.
freddie
On a lighter note, the naughty puppy is now 6 months old (tomorrow), and is lovely, if rather demanding, and still very naughty; Shoes are not safe anywhere; nor are socks,........... or bras, pants, DD soft toys, plant pots(she decants the plants)but we all love her, even Mr Grumpy"I dont want anything to do with it".. he takes her to work on my long days, as it's not right to leave her for so long. He didn't even complain when she ate the rung off the dining room chair
