Five or six times this year we've had two eggs from one hen, I know it must be two from one hen because we got more eggs than we have hens! They always have a thin shell, a couple have broken in the nesting box, but the ones I managed to get into the house we've eaten. They are usually extra large too, two 90g eggs from one hen in one day! If we do get them we eat them on the day because I doubt they have much protection from infection with such thin shells.
