Hello

I was wondering if anyone else has the same issue: there seems to be quite a bit of water in the inside of both the Eglu door and top (the main coloured part you lift to clean the inside of the Eglu).

I don't understand how it first got in there as I can't see any way of getting the water out!

 

Can anyone advise??

Mine too - I've never understood why but just hope that it evaporates ~(it hasn't so far). There must be a hole somewhere as I imagine the manufacturing process requires a hole or the shell would explode.

 

Any ideas anyone technical?

I think a few people have drilled a small hole to get the water out

 

You could seal it back over with some clear silicone if you were worried about mites

I too have this problem and am concerned if the water freezes the door will expand and i'll be unable to open the door.

 

Is drilling a hole the answer? Not sure i really want to do that

I have this with one of my Eglus. In my case, I think it was because I overdid it with a jet washer.

 

In answer to the question re it freezing and expanding and rendering the door unopenable ..... it hasn't done so.

Same here. I keep meaning to drill a hole to drain it off.
