Chicken shack
I recently got my first ever ex battery hens all are well and free range with the others and return to their own however if I need them to return before they are ready I only have to call and shake the bucket of meal worms and they all come running. That is except for one of the ex batts who has very small ears. Is it possible she could be deaf Or am I imagining it?
Calamity Jane
I dont see why not. It must be possible. If she sees you shake the bucket etc, does she come running, or maybe just follow others. It sounds to me like she could have hearing difficulties, but I am sure she is just as happy. AlisonH
One of mine has fairly selective hearing at times - I shake the mealworms but if there's something more interesting going on, I'll be ignored by Charlie.
