Leicester_H
Just went into Leicester to get some socks to wear under normal, daily use, trainers/walking shoes (not very exciting, I know, but I needed some of normal thickness (as opposed to very thin summer socks ..... long story) Went to M&S, Bhs, etc. but no-one had what I wanted - so went to Millets. They 'loudly' proclaimed 40% of everything, inc previous offers. (I'm very suspicious of such boastful offers!!) Saw a stand of ladies walking socks. Karrimor, lightweight, wicking etc. etc. Original price £12.99 (OK for walking but too expensive for everyday socks!!) Wall poster proclaimed BOGOF. Individual label stated 12.99 down to £5. So with 40% off this would be £3 - quite reasonable I thought. But when I went to pay, they said the BOGOFF applied as well !! so only £1.50 each - so I go 8!! I also go some gaiters (for proper walking) but could n't find anything else I could justify buying - such a pity!! So if anyone needs any walking / outdoor stuff (or for presents) - I recommend going to Millets ASAP as they have lots of REAL bargains (not sure why they're selling everything off so cheaply - hope they're not going bust ?) Geoid
Grabbed a good deal a few weeks ago, £120 coat, with 40% off, then an extra 10% on that, so got it half price
Ain't Nobody Here
Thank you so much for that . I was needing a long, warm coat for the winter and was going to go shopping tomorrow for one. Got one at Millets instead plus a backpack for YS's Christmas . Saved £69 .

I'm not going in to town until the 1st Dec - have booked hubby for birthday/Christmas shopping & general day out without children
