Alis girls
Another eggy question - one hen is on her second winter and the other has been moulting - there was an egg today - tiny like a bantum but they are - dont know who laid it - looks like a learner egg - do they normally when re starting to lay do little eggs which get bigger. I expected normal sized eggs and its browner too. Thanks
Lavenders_Blue
One of my ex batt girls used to occasionally lay tiny banty sized eggs (she rarely lays at all now). When I cracked them, there was never a yolk inside, only white. They would get lobbed in with omelettes/scrambled egg. Just an occasional blip in the egg laying system I think. Alis girls
Another egg today - normal size and less brown - will let you know if theres a yolk in it
Alis girls
There was a hoomongous yolk in the bantum type egg. We all watched as I cracked it open - how sad is that
