jeshen
Would anyone recommend any specific brand of layers' pellets for bantams? I read somewhere that they find the ordinary pellets for large fowl too large? Or is this a con to persuade us to buy expensive special pellets??! francesca88
Hi Jeshen - I've always fed my bantams on ordinary layer's pellets and they've never had a problem!

Redwing
The only pellets I have found too big for my bantams are Farmgate ones but I wouldnt feed those anyway nowadays The smallholder ones tend to be a nice small pellet as do the Garvo ones that I use but in all honesty they are pretty much all ok I have even had tiny Serama and Japanese chooks here and fed those the same as the others

bevmatt
I feed Fancy Feed Pellets - their full range is a small pellet so perfect for bantams as well as large fowl. Available from any stockists of the Baileys Horse feed range as it is the same mill - so If your normal supplier does not normally stock it but they have the horse feed as them to get you a bag in - Fancy feed will add the bag to their normal pallet - you don't need to order a full pallet to get it delivere to your normal store! We use Fancy feed on all our birds from hatching upwards and even our show birds and really thrilled with the results. Bev
