daxigirl
Pebbles had developed a limp during my xmas abscence so on Friday I put her in isolation as she was really having trouble standing. She lost weight but has eaten. Really would love some advice, knowledge as what to do. Feeling rather desperate now as I have visitors and having to put on a brave face. She has finished her moult and I believe she would be starting to lay again (one of the others has started again). Could it be a softie, can't feel anything and her abdomen isn't hot, red comb still, just sitting back on her hocks and shuffling along when she wants to move. Olly
Sorry, no ideas really but you've done the right thing in isolating her, keep her warm and hydrated and you may need vet advice if things don't improve. How old is she?
daxigirl
My beautiful Pebbles was put to sleep this morning. The vet confirmed mareks. I now have to keep my fingers crossed that the rest of my babies don't come down with it. Really rather sad and worried, having to put on a brave face at work today, all I really want to do is have a good cry.

Rosey Supposey
So sorry to read that Pebbles has left you. You did the very best for her. Hopefully that will be some consolation in time to come, but it doesn't stop things hurting at the moment. Really hope your other girls are okay x

daxigirl
Thanks so much for all the kind messages. I'm being optimistic that they'll all be ok. Still don't have a clue where it came from but everything has been through the dishwasher and the houses cleaned with virkron, getting some more bark nuggets to change them at the weekend.
