Is your dog's unusual barking a secret code for something mysterious?

Hi I was looking for some advice as we have an owl living up in the trees behind our house. It is a very big beautiful owl but i am nervous that it is going to pray on my chickens. We have one bantam with our big chooks and they are in a very big pen with no roof. Do you think they are at risk?

There is an owl in the woods at the bottom of my garden, and so far it hasn't bothered my chickens. They are in bed when the owl is active.

 

Owls go for small creatures such as mice, voles, frogs.

Do you know what type of owl it is as that can depend? However it probably is just a rodent eating owl.

uk owls will occasionally take young chicks BUT its very unusual. Grown Banties and larger fowl should be safe
