Old Speckled Hen
How many millions do you think four months of a contract is worth to Mr Capello and the FA Bets please?
Griffin
His pay should've been performance related. The FA would've saved a fortune
ilovechickens
Wonderful timing by all involved though don't you think! So Fabio shoots his mouth off and the FA get him in for a grilling-sack him and as if by magic Redknapp is an innocent man-I presume ready to take up the post that Fabio lost!! Next thing to do is to find some players that actually want to play for the country and not the money and endorsments!
chickencam
I thought that the timing was interesting too. Maybe the cat from Anfield would like the job, he looked keen to get to the grass roots.
Angie
Not a fan of football, much prefer rugby. I do tend to think that the manager should be able to play the players He wants , unless they are on a match ban. Also in the heat of the moment we are all guilty of saying the wrong thing .So whether Terry is guilty or not he has not been found guilty or punished as yet ,so should be allowed to continue in his position as captain/player. Capello although standing his ground , feels he has to go hence he has resigned. As for his wages, it will depend on what is written into his contract, which could be an awful lot of money. ( as he hasn't been dismissed .)
laurmurf
As a Spurs fan, the FA better keep their hands off our Harry!
Leicester_H
I thought that the timing was interesting too. Quite - anyone else think he got out before England have a disaterous run in the European( ??) chanpionships that are coming up ??

( as he hasn't been dismissed .) This is what I was getting at. Capello's contract took him to the end of Euro 2012 , ie the beginning of July. The FA have a dismal record re payoffs. I was wondering how much those four months might cost? I recall watching an interview with George Cohen a few weeks ago; what an unassuming humble chap he appeared. Sad to find out that he had to sell his winner's medal as he was broke. Football certainly has moved on. And people talk about City bonuses......
