AndreaT
I've just made some bacon, lentil and vegetable soup and it's way too salty. I haven't added any but I'm thinking it has come from the stock and bacon. Is there any way to take the saltiness away or am I stuck with it? LolaLayla
Apparently if you put a potato in the soup it will take the saltiness out
AndreaT
Thanks! It's already got potato in though, do I add another one?
LolaLayla
I would. It will not spoil it by adding the potato and hopefully it will help Just had a quick look on internet and it says it is best to put the potato in for 15 mins then remove. Chucky Mama
I suggest popping in a raw potato in too. You can always remove it before it becomes too soft so that it doesn't spoil your flavour.
