I read somewhere on here that shredded paper can encourage red mite to live in it - is this true? I have switched to aubiose now but wondered if that was true?

 

Plus also if the woodchips gets 'muddy' can this encourage belly feather loss due to line build up?

 

I have had chooks for 5 years now and can't believe I still have questions!!!

Yup! I'd switch to Aubiose - way better

Are you asking about a build up of droppings?

 

Yes, it can burn the chickens' skin, so clean, dry bedding is best.
