beccauk
Hi Hope none is fed up with my questions yet lol, I have just had my delivery from omlet today with my red mite powder etc which i ordered, i also ordered syn-vital bokashi after reading the info onit and reviews. I wondered what other peoples experiences were of using it and the daily dosage they give to their chickens in the feed? Many thanks again, to a great place to come when you feel you have nowhere else to turn! Becca
jackian
I use a bokashi mix feed which I suppose is similar for my girls which I mix with their pellets ...It is supposed to make their poo firmer and less smelly ..It seems to work and they love it. I get mine from Wiggley wigglers .
beccauk
Yea thats what i read about it which made me want to try it, especially knowing they will enjoy it i just am unsure on the amount to mix with pellet for 3 chickens on the bag it says 50gm for smaller animals after comparing to feeding it to a horse... i am worried il give them a portion too big lol what do they class as a smaller animal to a horse.....lol becca
sparkysmum
My ladies get Wiggly Wigglers mash pre mixed with bokashi. They seem to enjoy it. I don't think you can go wrong with simply adding some to their feed. No harm will come to them whatever amount you give them. Chill. clucker1
yeap, my 6 girls ger a couple of handfuls once or twice a week and normally gobble up the bits that go on the floor around the grub (as they love it so much and are greedyguts!) I don't bother mixing it in, just stick it on top of their pellets...have given up mixing anything in as they always eat anything and everything !!!
