Chickendoodle
Wanted to pass on a tip for keeping a bandaged dog's foot dry. My Labradoodle, Henry, seems to regularly cut his foot and ends up with it being bandaged. We have tried various bags, tapes etc to keep it dry when walking and found a brilliant solution over the weekend - Lakeland disposable icing bags. They are strong, sort of foot shaped already (if you fold in the pointy bit) and ridged on the outside to give the doggy some grip. We cut the top off and wound duct tape around it and the bag survived a 10 minute walk on the pavement. Didn't do much for poor Henry's street cred as the bag is bright blue and makes a brilliant slapping sound every time it is walked on but it did the job. karlotta
Ooh that's a great idea! I've always asked the vets for a empty drip-bag when my lot have had bandaged feet. They are super thick and tough and of course waterproof.
Lavenders_Blue
That's a great idea! Tango had to have a foot bandaged recently and the vet gave us an old drip bag to cover it with for walks, but it was very big and clumpy and she kept waving her foot in the air as she went along I have some of those Lakeland piping bags so I will bear that tip in mind for the future.
