The Dogmother
What a dilemma Binky, I've got both - not that I'm smug - and I wouldn't like to have to choose between the two! Enjoy your stove this winter, they really are tops for keeping the house warm!
Cinnamon
We have just got a wood burning stove too To be honest,it is an ugly great beast, but we have a large redundant fire places which it will fill nicely & it was very cheap. I jus hope we do get this super cold winter now, so we can make good use of it
The Dogmother
Very cheap eh? Aren't you the lucky one. Mine is multifuel, and I get free wood from a friend who is a chippy, so we keep lovely and toasty in the winter, it gets so hot that the heating clocks off, and we save gas. motherhen
You could always let your hens stretch out infront of the stove to make up for the delay in their decking and run - quite a few omlet hens seem partial to a bit of household comfort
