Eglu cube or go up with 2m run

One of my ex-batts Bully has taken a turn for the worse today and I suspect she has egg peritonitis. At the moment she is standing under the cube looking miserable. She is being bullied by the other 3 so I am not sure whether she won't or can't get into the cube. She was poorly a few weeks ago but appeared to make a complete recovery until yesterday afternoon when I noticed she was a bit slow and was being bullied by 2 of the others.

Should I bring her in and put her in a box in the garage or should I pop her into the cube overnight and see how she is in the morning? The problem is that I can't keep an eye on her in the Garage tomorrow as I have to go to work very very early and if she gets better overnight I can't put her back into the cube until the evening. (I am a nurse so can't change my shift or take day off)

Any advice is welcome. On the up side of chicken keeping I got my first double yolker today

Hi, sorry to hear Bully isn't well I'm no expert but I think if I was in your position I'd probably pop her back in the Cube so she's in familiar surroundings I've no idea if that's the right thing to do or not though

Thanks cheeky Chooky. I was going to do that but I just went out and she is not even standing properly. So I have put her in a box in the Garage, made her comfortable with some straw and food and water and I will check on her first thing in the morning. It should be just light when I get up so It will give me a good idea of how she will be during the day. If she is chirpier in the morning I will pop her back in the cube. If she's not then I will leave her in peace in the day and if there is no improvment during the day then I will have to let her out of her misery. She is worse than last time so she may not make it through the night which would probably be the best for her to be honest At least she has had 18 months of freedom.

It won't do her any harm if you leave her in the garage all day tomorrow while you are at work, as long as she has food and water and a bit of space to move about. The danger with putting her back in the cube if she perks up is that the others will start to pick on her again - they are very quick to spot any sign of weakness and are likely to attack her Do you have a cat carrier or something, so you could put her in that in the cube run so she has company but is protected from them.
