Eggasperated
I made the mistake of buying a cheap low grade (80gsm I think) cover for my eglu run - after only 6 weeks use it is split and the rain has turned the run into a muddy mess.. Previously I've picked these up at the boot fair and had no idea what grade they were and they've generally lasted well including through the awful winter of 2010/2011. What grade should I be looking for?, obviously I only want something quite small for the eglu, where would be the best place to get one? Quite cross at myself for false economy . Ain't Nobody Here
I bought a massive glassclear tarp from Tarpaflex. It was pretty heavy duty. It didn't last very well but that's because I cut it into smaller sizes and hemmed it myself with tarp tape and also put new eyelets in. It really took a battering from wind and rain too. If you're buying one the exact size you need it'll be hemmed all the way round and should last a very long time .
The Dogmother
I have a reinforced clear tarp with webbing through it - it has lasted through 2 cold and snowy winters and is still going strong I got it on ebay, it is just like this one although from a different seller. The Dogmother
It's the same sort as they use on scaffolding and very durable.
