LisaP Posted May 21, 2012 Share Posted May 21, 2012 Somehow came home with 2 Light Sussex, 2 Speckledys and 2 Cayuga ducks Definitely didn't intend to come home with any new girls as we didn't know that they would be selling them but when there are signs saying pay now, collect later, boxes provided, what else can you do There were so many different breeds to choose from and not just chickens, there were quail, guinea fowl, ducks, geese, even peacocks Fortunately we did have our eglu spare as our other five girls are in the cube and I have ordered a little duck house. At the moment though the four new girls and two ducks are all together in one of the stables and last night they all cuddled up together in a corner Unfortunately though none of them seemed to know to go to bed in the eglu so we had to put the chickens in it ourselves. We had a large pet carrier ready for the ducks but they were having none of it, so in the end we just had to shut the stable up and hope they would be safe and they were fine this morning, quacking away quite happily Off to the duck forum now to find out the best way to get ducks to bed......
