Plum Posted May 31, 2012 Share Posted May 31, 2012 Not necessarily it's better to go by behaviour. If they are getting bullied it may be better to wait a bit longer until they are more mature. As they come into lay they get more feisty and stand up for themselves. Having said that some will get on fine earlier while still not more than chicks. I find it's best to play it by ear. gazzagerkin Posted June 29, 2012 Author Share Posted June 29, 2012 intoduced our youngsters to our old girls at 13 weeks ,they had been in a seperate run in the garden for 3 weeks so they could get used to each other now all living happily together at 14 weeks no bullying or pecking just a little chasing from the top girl ,,great result ,mind you our 3 year old top girl sussex x is so laid back and the other girl is only around 25 weeks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
