Does anyone have Guardian-Mon. 1 July?

Recommended Posts

.........or more importantly..........

Does anyone have the Tour de France booklet they'd be willing to let me have?

I purposely bought the Guardian on Monday for the booklet - I haven't read it yet.....................

Last night the dog ate it

:lol::roll:

Mad dog - fortunately she ignored the bar of chocolate which was next to it

I got up and left Carl and Jazz together in the lounge, Carl got up to take a glass to the kitchen - and she demolished it in 30 seconds!

Carl only made matters worse by saying "I thought you were watching her" - I left the room first  - very close to putting them both in the outside kennel

I didn't think they'd been allowed in since last time, Lesley.:wink:

I'll ask my sister, although she doesn't get it daily.

Sorry Lesley I haven't got it either - but there is a magazine called Cycling Weekly that is out on Thursdays that will no doubt have lots of info on the tour - and there is a tour website too

http://www.letour.fr/indexus.html

The Eurosport website will probably have info too.

Sorry if I am telling you what you already know!

I wanted to go and watch on Saturday but I don't think I can - shame because I saw it last time it came over, and when it started in Ireland too.

Thank you Tina - I know about the website but hadn't thought about the magazine :D I like to have something to refer to whilst watching - I have a head like a sieve these days

Carl's birthday falls in the second week - mountains! - for his 40th, I'd planned to be staying in the Alps so that we could watch a stage there, then his best friend decided to get married that weekend :(

Tell him he can't have his present this year and will have to wait a whole year because of his friend's sense of timing :D

I have been to Alpe D'Huez and Galibier. Amazing (its just one great big party on Alpe D'Huez).

Cycle Sport (monthly mag) also covers the tour well too.

I worded that badly Tina - he will be 42 this year, his birthday always falls in the second week

We did plan to go when he was 41 - but we'd just bought this farm  - no holidays

Alpe d'Huez would be amazing!

Carl asked at the village shop for Cycling Weekly - the owner asked why can't they cycle a bit harder then
