pixiewish
I just wanted to check...how much bigger would you expect a gold-laced orpington bantam to be than pekins? Pie (my orp) is looking much bigger already than Korma and Tikka and I am bit worried as they are only 7 weeks that the size difference is so noticeable already!! The Dogmother
That's a piece of string question both can vary wildly in size within their own breed but generally you can expect an orpington bantam to be at least twice the size of a pekin. mollyripkim
Weight wise, my silkies are all around 800 to 1000 grams and my bantam Orpington is 1500 grams.
Redwing
Orpington bantams should be significantly larger than a Pekin but the gold and silver laced never seem to get as big as the standard colours luckily!
