Goosey Lucy
Does anyone know anything about this game? I'm an old fogey Mum and don't really understand what my two boys are getting in to. ES - 12 - has signed up to play this game, YS - 8 - also wants to join. They need email addresses to do so, ES has used his own, YS doesn't have one so wants to register using mine. I am very wary of online game type things, we had a bit of an issue with YS and Moshi Monsters a while ago, OH isn't available to ask for guidance so I'm doing the next best thing and asking you. Am I being too cautious? What does the game involve? I understand you can use real money to buy some things, this raises alarm bells with me (maybe I've watched too many Big Bang Theory episodes ) Thanks, Lucy

Goosey Lucy
ES is using an iPad2, YS is using a laptop. Thanks Cinnamon, it's the latest craze sweeping through Year 7 at school
Geoid
It is a online multiplayer game, as far as I can see, they don't need any personal details, such as name, address. You need to supply an email address if you want to save your progress, but once you have registered you can link a credit card/paypal account and you can buy things to help you in the game. That said, you dont have to buy things, you can still play the game for free. You do have to go around shooting things, but it is not violent at all. But, there is a chat feature built in and a few rude words do go undetected by the swear filter. You can have a go for yourself at this link, just click on play, and you can have a quick look using the guest account.
Goosey Lucy
Hi Fred, thank you, I think you've put my mind at rest. So long as YS stays away from any chatroom I'll let him play. I knew Omleteers wouldn't let me down
Margalot
Fred, I just had a quick peek at this! and got as far as shoot the evil chickens!!!! I wasnt shooting any chickens!! Reminds me of minesweeper which my son plays, when I laughed at the graphics and told him it reminded me of my commordore vic20 and its groovy games he wasnt too impressed. I mean he goes from xbox 360 in HD where the people look almost real back to graphics made with little blocks.
