CatieB
I just need to vent, sorry. I've had a hideous week and to make it worse I've just had to spend £170 on a car head light bulb. Yes £170 I only bought my car in February and its under warranty but apparently bulbs arent included. When they told me it was a special type of lightbulb and that it was more expensive I thought they meant 20 or 30 pounds instead of the usual 2. They told me to sit down. I did complain (nicely) but still had to pay. Tommorrow is our local show, probably our favourite social event of the year and its been cancelled because of the weather I'm screaming...........this would be in capitals but I guess the mods would remove so here AAAARRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH
angeluk69
Can I ask what car you have and what type of lights you have (led, xenon etc etc)??? £170 for a bulb is daylight robbery!!

CatieB
Can I ask what car you have and what type of lights you have (led, xenon etc etc)??? £170 for a bulb is daylight robbery!! Apparently its a Xenon bulb which is much brighter and bends round corners etc etc as they were at pains to tell me, at which point I said I think its best to stop talking you dont expect any bill when you by a car in february. BTW they waived the labour cost, the £170 was just for the bulb. And its a Volvo xc60. The parts department told me they rarely go and usually last for years.... does that make it better or worse??? Still screaming but less loud (I've had some wine and may keep going)
Guest
I got rid of my Renault Scenic when I was quoted £870 to replace the LED's that had gone behind my dashboard! The whole flipping thing would have had to be taken out! Blow that!
angeluk69
Xenons do rarely 'go' So that information is correct. I'd check your warranty as well because (in the words of the OH,who drives performance Audis) 'there's not that much that IS covered by warranty.' I've just googled xenon bulbs and average price is approx £30 -£40 per bulb, obviously it s variable by the car, make, model and year.
