Luvachicken
We bought my chicks a huge sack of Garvo 702 because they didn't have any little bags for sale. Now my chicks are bigger I need to move them on to the next stage of food, but I am left with most of a big bag. Is there anyone in the Fleet area ( or anywhere really ) that would like to help use it up ? If not can I feed it to the birds in the garden ? sjp
you can feed 702 right up to lay even through it says 10 to 12 weeks
Redwing
I'd keep feeding the 702 as well, it will do them no harm to keep them on it right up to when they start laying and even beyond. If you have food to move them on to then mix the two
Luvachicken
Thanks sjp but I have a big bag of 714 as well The farm didn't have small bags of either and the young chap didn't really seem to know his stuff, so he worried me and I ended up getting both so the chicks would eventually have the right stuff. Space Chick
I feed 702 up until they start laying, whatever is left is mixed with 731 until its all used up. Apart from once last year when I left it up to OH to feel the girls and 702 was mixed with 704.... Party time it was as they were on mixed corn
