surf_space
I have a brinsea semi automatic incubator and it worked really well in hatching my chicks, however, I have now stumbled across a problem whilst trying to wash it. As it has a fan to circulate the air and air holes to the fan, the fluff from the chicks has blown up into the electric heater part. Does anyone know if this is water proof? As I need to fully submerge it as it's the only way i can think of reaching the fluff. Sorry if this is a silly question. Any advice? kinsk
Not familiar with your model but I use a soft brush (the dustpan and brush type) and/or a hairdrier to get the fluff out of mine.
surf_space
Thank you, the only problem is the air holes aren't big enough for anything to reach inside so I'll have to try the hairdryer technique. I just wouldn't want bacteria to spread and cause problems with my next hatch!
Redwing
I have the same incubator and have never cleaned mine in the 2+ years that I have had it You can unscrew the clear bit inside the lid and use a paintbrush to clean the fan though Dont get it wet!
