merlina
Since the hot weather finally arrived my hens have not been eating very much (perhaps to be expected, the wild birds seem to be eating less from the feeders too); but perhaps more surprisingly, not drinking very much either - they usually seem to drink quite a lot They seem otherwise well and their usual selves Am I being an over-clucky mum? daxigirl
Popped some ice cubes in my girls water, just to see what they made of them really, they just ignored them.

I feel i may have to repeat that experiment! Maybe they're just drinking less cos they need less water as they're not eating many dry layers pellets? kinsk
I've noticed our big hens and big chicks haven't been eating and drinking as much. The little chicks are still greedy little varmits! I've been giving the big hens more salad leaves as I figured they have a fairly high water content. They all seem quite happy and healthy though

Lavenders_Blue
Mine don't seem to be drinking a huge amount either, but they have plenty of fresh water available so I'm not going to worry about it. They'll drink it if they need it.
