mrsatroy
I'm sure there have been lots of posts about this before, but I would love peoples ideas/suggestions as to what they use to create an "upper level" in their cube run. I am waiting on my cube extension and then am hoping to get my girls in 2 weeks - I am mad planning an dorganising their space but would love some ideas to improve their living space! Thanks again for all your help!
jimnpaula
click the pic for full size My husband made this level out of pallet wood. It is supported by just sticking it through the wire and some bolts through the ends to stop it slipping back. Other people have made things like swings that hang from the roof. Another option is a small table. Logs, upturned flowerpots and shoe racks take up floor space but can be good fun. Branches can be stuck through the bars across the run but can prevent you getting in any distance - something I was keen to avoid as my ex bats started by laying eggs anywhere, and often there was one up at the back that needed careful retrieval with a rake. I can't tell which of my tatty ex bats that is as she's lifted up the leg with the ring on it Soon after I bought pairs of rings P

hopingforchickens
I've just been tinkering with my new WIR, I've decided to use some old greenhouse shelving - from an old 4 tiered propagator, it's worked really well, will post pics later when I have time, I'm supposed to be packing for my hols! hopingforchickens
This is my mezzanine, I used a couple of the shelves out of my old coldframe. It's worked really well and the girls love it - great to know I've utilised the space as well!
