Cinnamon Posted July 14, 2007 Share Posted July 14, 2007 I have never heard that & I have often eaten an egg that has just been laid & is still warm,& not noticed a difference in taste Very fresh eggs are much better to poach,although if you are going to hardboil an egg it needs to be over 2 days old or its difficult to peel. Olly Posted July 14, 2007 Share Posted July 14, 2007 never heard that one. I'm sure I ate my first eggs the day they were laid, I was so excited! It was a shock as I'd never seen a new-laid egg before, I didn't realise how different they are.
