redcharlie43
I just have and it made me laugh. I have just got 2 more girls from Surrey Poultry. One is a maran hybrid and another a black rock hybrid. They are both very cute. It was handbags at dawn when i put them in the garden. I put them into a dog crate whilst the 2 girls i have free ranged around them and literally surrounded them and kept circling until treats were offered . Then as it got dark and the other have gone to bed i popped in the 2 new ones into the cube. My blubelle made the most amazing growling noise. When i looked in a few minutes later both the new girls decided that they wanted to be in the nest area and the bluebelle was trying to sit on both of them. I have left them to it. I am off the next few days so can keep an eye on them. I didn't have too many problems last time and the run i have is big enough for them to have lots of feeding stations and the new girls can keep away from the old 2. So its fingered crossed and I hope in a few months I will have 4 happy healthy hens!

Luvachicken
My two older birds growled a lot when I first put my chicks in a separate space, but within their space. It was not a nice noise to be honest and one did growl more than the other. I'm not sure how long they growled for but they don't do it now.
