To Worm or not and where to buy flubenvet??

Recommended Posts

My girls are moulting, well some of them, including my favourite who is 2.5 years old. They also need worming, it is a good 3 months since I did them and Darthveda has a dirty bottom which always sorts itself after worming. Do I worm them when they are moulting? My feeling is I should as worms aren't going to help them.

Also, anyone know a source for 10kg sack of flubenvet pellets. Tried Farm and Pet, and SPR Centre...no luck. Has anyone experience of Heygates pellets which include flubenvet? This is offered as an alternative on one of the websites. Thanks. :D

I'd hang off worming them until they have finished moulting as it would put too much strain on their systems. I usually do mine quarterly, so the September worming session comes before they start to moult.

I get mine from farm and pet place, my understanding is that the company which took over Janssen hopes to have production back to normal soonest.

I too would hold off till after they have moulted. Some people only worm once or twice a year so its unlikely they will have built up a worm burden since you last wormed them

The Heygates pellets are fine, the treatment is the same across both brands but obviously the base pellet is slightly different.
