Smart Feeder - Light sensor values

..........in that look like discarded fly wings? I have looked all over the place before posting to ask what this is, with no luck. I noticed this about a week ago when poo picking the girls, they are very small bits of matter, I also saw some in the run where the favourite poop spot is, does anyone have any idea what it could be please?

Could it be feather casings? (I mean the papery stuff around emerging feathers.) Is anyone moulting at the moment?

I think it is probably the feathers - my Bluebelle is going through a huge moult and I can see exactly what you describe. The other girls are helping themselves to the loose ones but I also have a bunch of feather pluckers too so I should think that feathers are definitely the culprit rather than anything more sinister.

We have that at the moment too due to the girls moulting.

Yes, two out of the four are dropping feathers all over the place - I never even thought of that! Of course it is, they look like little casings, arent you lot clever?!
