Smart Feeder - Light sensor values

Hi All,

 

I'm very excited to be going to the Scottish National in a couple of weeks time and I'm looking to add to my flock, hopefully some orpingtons and maybe silkies! It would be great if any of you more experienced show goers could give me some hints and tips on how it all works and what I need to look out for.

 

Also, I've done lots of searches online but I can't find a list of poultry for sale or even a show itinerary, can anyone point me in the right direction?

No tips, but I'm planning on going too! Have you bought tickets? Very exciting!! Wish I was allowed more! Can't wait to see/hear what you get.

Tickets!? I was just planning on paying on the door! Do I need to contact the venue directly?

 

I've just checked their site and it's actually showing the show dates now but not much else, they haven't been on there before. Maybe I'll give them a call, they should be able to help with a catalogue too.

You won't get a catalogue for entries until after judging has started on the first day of the show and there usually won't be a listing for the sales pens at all. You just need to turn up early at the sales pens and go into it with an open mind...and wallet!

I was just planning on turning up too, sorry for panic, don't know if you can get tickets in advance was being nosey!! Have an image of you elbowing people out of the way to get to the sales pens!

Have noticed in the few shows I've been to that most hens are sold as pairs or trios ie with cockerels. Not always the case tho' and I missed some lovely buff sussex bantams last show I was at cos the price went beyond me. Good luck tho' are you showing

I went last year and got my Silkies but had arranged to have them brought to the show for me. I will pm you all the info

I actually wouldn't mind a cockerel, my neighbour has two and I quite enjoy hearing them crowing. No, I'm not showing. As beautiful as my girls are they are not show quality!
