Twiglet
First day for the chooks in their cube. Lily has laid ok in the nest but just going round the garden poop-scooping as they've been out all day and I've found an egg off Bluebell in the flower bed. Any ideas how I can get her to lay in the new nest box? I thought she'd have watched Lily and learnt that way??

Snowy
Hi Twiglet! Good to meet you and OH on Sunday! I've just moved my campine into a different eglu and she's laid in the shrub border ever since. Today I was ready for her, she was desperate to get out of the run and lay so very meanly I shut her in the eglu. Kept checking and she was happily sat on the nest and subsequently produced her egg. I just hope she'll remember the lesson tomorrow!
Sue and the Spice Girls
I was given 2 pot (china) eggs, bought from the local feed shop at £1.50, and the girls have only ever laid thier first egg in the wrong place, after that they're all in the nest box. I think the first ones came as a bit of a suprise to them!
Guest
We thought Rose had stopped laying, as we hadn't had an egg for over a week Last Friday Dan was in the garden and found half a dozen under the hedge by the pond. I don't think she likes the newbies sharing her nesting box
