mimi5
Hi all!!! Some of you might remember me getting a second hand purple classic? Well it is now ocupied by Tilly, Polly and Mt Fergus who are settling in together!! I have the classic on the lawn and being used to moving the cube around (total doddle!) can't seem to figure out how to move it?? I'm guessing it's a 2 person job? It was heavy without the run on!! Also it's difficult to get a hold of!! Moving it on to the lawn certianly was!! Will eventually site it like the cube, but want to find the best spot. Thanks! Daphne
2 people Strongest person bends down and picks up the classic at the bottom/back. In the meantime I open the door to the run, peg it back, then flip up the skirt bit at the front and hold onto the skirt and the front of the run at the same time. Its not too bad, compared to the wooden housing or to the cube which we also have to pick up and move around as we don't have wheels for ours Do it with gloves on so you don't mind getting mud/poo on your hands, and also they give you a bit of comfort. chri1143
Lift the front of the run and drag the whole lot by the front panel to its new location. The back of the classic is smooth to allow you to do this.
Pearls007
I can move our classic by lifting the end of the run - it's a bit awkward but definitely do-able on your own.
mimi5
Ah, hum I did nearly try draggin it this morning......but thought abut the poo's I'd be draging it over and didn't fancy it!! Might be siting it sooner than later!!! Thanks everyone!! (still wish it had wheels on though! )
Olly
I used to pull it by the end of the run, as described above - however, I think most people find quite quickly that the idea of moving it regularly to preserve the grass just isn't practical. It looks great on the videos, and it works in dry weather, but if your lawn is as soggy as mine at the moment it just wouldn't work. I ended up with mine (before I moved to a Cube and then a walk-in run) in a permanent space with a log-roll border around it, it was much easier.
