I'm about to embark on teaching myself! I played as a teenager, but have the urge to give it another go..... don't really want to go down the tutor line though...

 

Any anyone recommend any books, i've been looking at these....

If you have played before, my recomendation would be go to a music shop if you have one nearby, and look through the different teaching books.

 

You can then get a feel for the level, and the approach, and see what you are comfortable with.

 

Good Luck! I love playing the flute - as soon as you feel comfortable get into a group and play with others - will keep you inspired!

musicroom.com is great for music books. You can search by recommendation, skill level etc. If you find a good book it is always worth having a quick peak on ebay as people often sell a handful of books for very little.

Oooh, good luck with this! I'm toying with the idea of teaching myself to play the guitar but don't know how feasible it would be, never having played before so let us know how you get on!!!
