good_egg
After weeks of speculation over whether or not Annette was going to lay, our little Connie has beaten her to it and with no fuss popped out the most perfect little blue egg! 47g and my first non-pink egg! mimi5
Ah, well done Connie!! What a lovely blue egg!! I had wanted blue eggs but finding bantam araucanas is proving very difficult So I have a blue egg ramp with whitish coloured eggs on it!!!! Actually it's nearly full Got 4 eggs out of my 5 big girls today and sat!!! If they all get going........may need another ramp
Daphne
I have been doing this long enough that really I shouldn't be excited, but my gorgeous nearly 6 year bantam orp is the first girl to lay this year, she is a real trooper and still my best laying hen Normally I would have been getting eggs by now from the polands, but I think the rain might have put them off, it has been incessant. I am away on business and OH has texted to let me know. Hurrah
Mrs_B
Whoop whoop! Well done, Connie Isn't the first non-pink egg wonderful? I was staring at my Columbine's first egg for ages after she laid it! And each one after is still very special x
good_egg
She has laid three now. First two had tiny bit of blood on them but today's is super clean. Clever wee petal. She still looks so small compared to the others. Was telling Annette today was the traditional day for her to start, and look at little Connie leading such a good example, but nothing. Will have to wait some more to see what colour she lays! Love looking at my ramp with its pretty eggs in it and thinking "my girls laid them"
