Snowyhen
Anyone got any amusing anecdotes? Back several years, when we still had five Sussex girls, I made a bit of a pet of my Snowy (who's long dead now). I always fed her more of the s"Ooops, word censored!"s than the others, but then she was boldest too so... Once I was feeding her bread, with the small pieces to give her in one hand and the main lump in the other. Snowy, being Snowy, waited till I bent down, then grabbed the huge bit and ran. Dad's still got video of me chasing her across the garden. Anyone else
Ain't Nobody Here
I had a very determined chicken called Maisie a few years ago who was just desperate to get over a small gate from the garden to the driveway despite my efforts at blocking her off. I had to keep adding bits of trellis to the gate but she foiled me at almost every turn. I did win in the end (but the gate looked ridiculous ). I did post a slideshow of her herculean efforts but none of the links work now - I do have the video that shows her last attempt before she gave up ... *click* (You have to turn your head - and the noise is the washing machine!) patsylabrador
Not an incident as such or a funny tale but they did look like they were having a neighbourly chat. Not good quality but I couldn't get close and used phone.
Chortle Chook
When I first started out I was a bit alarmist and took a little gold Silkie named Dolly to the vet because I thought I'd heard her sneeze. She sat on the vet's table looking cute and being examined, then just as the vet pronounced that there was nothing wrong with her, Dolly layed a wee egg right there on the table. The vet said 'Is that for me?' and without waiting for any answer took the egg away. I didn't get anything off the price of the consulation either
Redwing
Not a story but I always find this pic of my beloved Tarzan funny, he was such a great character

Chortle Chook
I think he's saying "Hmm, they don't look much like me, are you sure I'm the father?"
