L Marques Posted April 18, 2013 Share Posted April 18, 2013 (edited) Hi,Hello.I mixed my Flubenvet powder with my Garvo layers pellets today.I have only 2 pekin bantams and one of them is hatching eggs at the moment.The dosage of Flubenvet says to mix one scoop with 2kg of the feed,but here is the problem...it would take my 2 chickens literaly 2 months to eat 2Kg of pellets ,so i decided i mix half the dosage,and here is what i did: i got my kitchen scales an weighed just 1Kg and for the flubenvet i used the Kids Calpol spoon and used the small bit of the spoon cause that is exactly half of the Flubenvet spoon dosage,i then put the 1Kg pellets in a lided bucket sprinkled in the Flubenvet powder poped the lid on and just shaked vigorously to make sure the pellets were well covered with the powder and that way it does not make all that dust flying on to your face.Do you think i did the right thing?Even just the 1Kg they will not eat everything in 7 days.i am gonna go easy on the treats this week so they eat more of the pellets.Whatever is left of it can i put in a lided bucket and save for next time?i only got a pot of 60g Flubenvet but it was very expensive £26. Another thing my broody thats sitting on the eggs is not eating as much as usual i get her out of the nest once a day to feed her do you think that will be enough to worm her? Egluntyne Posted April 18, 2013 Share Posted April 18, 2013 Don't save the treated pellets, as both they and the Flubenvet may have gone off by the time the hens need worming again.
