beccauk
My chicken played a egg this morning normal size but paler shell, and she never came out the eglu, she's not wanting to move and I brought her in the house this morning she's just slept mainly she had a clearish discharge dripping from her feathers from her vent I have syringed water into her and given her some pro biotic yoghurt, she did have habit of liquid come out habit ago which I have photoed and certainly had some more liquid actually heard it kinda gushed out , it was yellowish and watery, I have photos not very good of what I could see this morning and its not changed much, white and crusty, it doesn't smell cheesy just smells like pee, I thought it might be the urine part of her poo. Any advice welcome she seems abit unresponsive now, like she's on her way out? She was 1 year 18 weeks in march. Sorry about size its took me nearly 2hours to get them on here
mimi5
I would say she needs to see a vet. She sounds in a bad way, I guess see how she is in the morning. Best wishes for your girl and let us know how she goes.
beccauk
Thanks for reply, she is making an effort to drink for herself which I guess is a good sign she hasn't eaten tho all day. Just hoped someone might recognise symptoms to know what's wrong. Think if I do sleep I'll be up early
mimi5
I recently had one of my girls nearly die of a mystery illness that started with very runny poo and being off colour. The vet did lots of things and I was tempting her with all sorts!!!!! I really didn't expect her to make it (neither did the vet!!) but she is much better.....just laying soft shelled eggs for the past 4 days though Not sure if this will sort it's self out or not)and I watch her like a hawk!!! ..............Well and the others too!!!! Sometimes they pull through, sometimes they don't, all we can do is try to help them
beccauk
Morning Just an update, she's still here but her breathing is more laboured can feel when try to open her beak to during some water and she's not being responsive or opening her eyes, she's making like a wheezy noise when breathing Any ideas when no vet on a Sunday? She hasn't eaten since Friday now as wasn't interested yesterday but I syringed some yoghurt into ger . And when she goes with this yellowy stuff which I think is when she pools it stinks really bad fills the house but just like very strong urine. Thanks
