Mr Rhode Island Red
I have recently decided to get my camcorder back out for a family wedding coming up this month. The camcorder is working perfectly but there is one flaw in my plan...I have no unused tapes. I bought the camcorder in late 2008 in Harvey Norman, around the time when the tape was starting to go past its time. http://static.clickbd.com/global/classified/item_img/769941_0_original.jpg It is a Samsung VP-D381. http://thumbs2.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mmO7dJajt6idj2fC9EyVBrg.jpg It came with 4 DMV60 (60minute) tapes, and I used all of them. I rang Harvey Norman and they said they don't sell tapes anymore and that they are a "thing of the past" I tried to buy some on Amazon but when I got to the checkout they told me they cannot ship blank CD's, DVD's, tapes etc. to the Republic of Ireland due to some data protection act or something. My question is, does anybody here know if you can still get these kind of tapes, or failing that, is it safe to re-use the 4 original tapes and still get a good quality film out of them? Thanks

Scary Mary
My brother lives in Dublin, and uses Parcel Motel to get round companies not delivering to Ireland. Web site www.parcelmotel.com Quoting from their FAQ section "You can receive deliveries from sites which only ship to the UK by giving the UK Parcel Motel address (below) and it will arrive at your local Parcel Motel in the Republic of Ireland. The cost for this is the same as it is for the Irish address. Your Name Your PM ID Parcel Motel 1A McKinney Rd Newtownabbey BT36 4PE" There is a size limit, but my brother finds it works very well and it costs £3.50 per package. As delivery to UK addresses is often free, he finds using the parcel motel works out much cheaper than getting thing shipped directly to him in Dublin. His local Parcel motel is based in a garage, not far from his work so it couldn't be simpler. Hope this helps Mary
