lizinsa
We have used Living Eggs to incubate and hatch some eggs at school. We had a successful batch of 9 chicks hatch and they are currently in a brooder which consists of a plastic box with a perspex lid and lamp. We are going to keep 3 of the girls as school pets but now need our own brooder. Does anyone have any to recommend? We want them to have the best possible start and so I'm trying to be best chicken mummy I can be!
Redwing
I use these, they are a good step on from the perspex topped ones http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LITTLE-FRIENDS-LARGE-RABBIT-GUINEA-PIG-INDOOR-CAGE-HUTCH-100cm-NO-ACCESSORIES-/350736681315?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Small_Animals&hash=item51a9890963
Purplemaniacs
We have just got some eggs in an incubator at school with a brooder just as you described. I think they may have come from Living Eggs too. When I hatched at home I used an electric hen in a similar plactic box with a home made mesh lid and then after a week or so I transfered them with the electric hen to an indoor rabbit cage.
