Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

We need some help DD has to make some items with a group of 9 year olds to sell at a Fayre. So I am looking for ideas of things that the children could be shown to make and hopefully manage to carry out with some minimal input/supervision from DD. The items also need to be good/interesting enough to be sold to their peers and parents. The crafts also have to be quite cheap. She does have some money for this project but not a huge amount. We have been searching the internet and in the library for ideas but I just know you folks will have some great ideas

Peppermint creams and coconut ice dressed up in pretty cellophane bags and ribbons would be easy

Thanks Plum. I am not sure if she is allowed to make something edible with them but I will run that idea past her

How about decorated clothes pegs with a magnet on the back - these can then become fridge-magnet-clips/for tea towels or notes?

The clothes pegs sound good as you could have some more detailed than others depending on the individual child's ability

Felt shapes tacked together with beads and a pin to make a broach?

That sounds like a possible idea too I have got a lot of felt that I could let her have for that

What about egg cosies? Made of felt.

 

There would only be a bit of blanket stitch round the outside. Glue embellishments on them.
