Chortle Chook
I started a wee while ago with Silkies but now have just one wee silkie left - my brave little Doodle. Although she free ranges with all the others, I notice that the Polands all stick together as do the Frizzles and I'd love Doodle to have a companion to share Silkie stories with. I know all silkies are smaller than other hens, but I recently saw some large fowl white silkies at Hamble Valley and was really taken with them. Doodle is white so I'd really like a gold one. However these large fowl silkies seem to be rare as hens' teeth and I can only find tiny gold ones or inbetweenies. Does anyone know of a good Silkie breeder in the South that I could approach? Chickabee
Omg shabby chic you have COD (chicken obsession disorder). I'm afraid I've caught it too. A large silkie, that would be heaven. Hope your dream comes true. Sonya
