Messing with Fimo

Recommended Posts

Hi - I recently bought a fimo handled crochet hook & I'm in love with it. I've got some fimo & lots of hooks to have a go with. Do you think I can just squidge some round the handle & bake the hook? Oven will be on low & I will probably put a bit of foil over to stop any browning. Just wondered if anyone had done this before? I want to use up my fimo that has been lying around from a crafty class I went to earlier this year.

Thanks..

It worked! I did 2 teaspoons & a 4mm crochet hook as a test tray. I have to say I am most pleased with the crochet hook. I baked them at 110 degrees C for half an hour on a foil lined tray with ' a foil tent' over.

The only thing I'd say is I've got the normal Fimo & it was hard to knead. I'm going to invest in some Fimo soft 7 some of those canes / slices for décor too.

Once camera is charged there will be some pics.
