Rye crispbreads

Recommended Posts

I've been looking for some small round rye crispbreads to use as a base for canapés, but having looked in 4 local supermarkets, including Aldi and Lidl, I can't find anything suitable. All I can find is the Ryvita type which are far too big. Can anyone suggest where I might find them or what would be a suitable alternative. I've been sorting out my toppings and never dreamt I wouldn't be able to find the biscuits  thank you :D .

Dare I say make them....there's a Nigel Slater recipe on the Guardian site, it doesn't look too tricky. Rye flour is available in the supermarket and you can get fresh yeast from a 'proper' bakers.

I would have copied the link but it just went to the main page. But if you Google it, it should work (type in Nigel Slater rye crispbreads)
