debbiedoobs
I didn't think to PM but i will in the future if I need to, thanks gavclojak. Sorry I haven't been specific in my comment, lol. I have recently lost a silkie to Mareks which we had confirmed by a blood test. I want to hatch fertilised eggs from another breeder, I was questioning whether people agree with vaccinations etc. From researching it further I think that it would only be fair to vaccinate. Thank you for your help
gavclojak
Yes I remember your post, I think I was the first to reply....and I completely understand why you want all the information re mareks. I am glad you have made an informed decision
The Dogmother
You are right to be concerned, seek advice and then make your choices. From my own experience; I have had Marek's in my flock twice, both some time ago, and unrelated to each other. I have hatched eggs before that and afterwards too. That's just my decision though... you must make your own choice, bearing in mind that the chicks will pick up quite a lot of immunity from their broody mother. gavclojak
Ah thanks so much for asking....the little Madame is right as rain!! Think she was attention seeking She finished the antibiotics and has been ok...poop seems ok, although it's hard to tell as the rain has been washing everything in the run away! Not sure if this is connected but my daughter went to eat an egg the other day and it was half brown inside.....don't know what that was all about but no softies recently, 2 eggs yesterday and 1 today too. Thanks again for your concern
