Loubylou
Hello all! I am Louise and I am a chicken obsessive... There - confession made We are getting some ex batts from the BHWT when they next rehome in our area (beginning of March) and I am planning on getting an Eglu Go for them to live in and OH will be building them a nice big WIR too! I have fallen in love with Kazaddress's pimped Eglu and want to do something similar with ours. Problem is, she is all clever and has painted hers whereas I have no talent so need to think of something else... I have seen the Eglu stickers, but they aren't quite what I am looking for, has anyone else successfully managed to use anything else? I was thinking Car stickers? Would they stick? If anyone would like to share photos of their Eglus, they will be drooled over appropriately Thankyou!
jimnpaula
Welcome to the forum! And well done for planning to get ex batts, a good choice if I say so myself. As for stickers, car stickers would probably work, although I haven't tried sticking anything to mine so couldn't say. Paula
Chortle Chook
Well done for getting ex-bats You've got a wonderful time ahead of you. Take a look at "Tales from the Coop - the joy of ex-battery hens" edited by Sophie McCoy. It's totally heart warming, but have a hanky to hand For your Eglu, I think car stickers would be just fine Or how about using some fun coloured / patterned sticky back plastic paper cut into shapes (e.g. hen or heart shapes) ? The sort of thing you can put on a wheely bin to show it's yours. You can get it from any craft shop but also from many stationery shops too. Chortle Chook
Hey, I didn't know you could get someone else to make them for you and for so little. I've orderd some daffs and tulips Thanks Chickabee
Chickabee
Me too shabby chic think I need to wait for some dry weather to apply them though
Chortle Chook
Could be a long wait - I'm still waiting for enough of a dry spell to fit my new nest box on my wooden house. It has been wet very day since I got it. The old one leaks like a sieve but luckily I've not got any layers at the mo - well I think it is 'lucky' the little free loaders
