suse71
Hi, I was hoping someone could help me decide whether to buy a superglug for my Eglu run. I am getting really peeved with constantly changing the water in the Glug as the girls keep chucking their woodchip in it die to the low, open top. Will my bantam Wyandotte be able to drink out if the Superglug or is it too high do you think? My Glug hook bits are cracked anyway so every time I fill it, it leaks everywhere so need something new soon. Cheers!
Chickabee
I don't use glugs anymore. I use wet a chook, but these come from Ausralia. I would consider getting a gravity drinker and putting it on a couple of slabs
Grandmashazzie
Ha Chickabee you beat me to it I was just going to recommend your wet a chook.Mine is now up and much easier to keep clean. My other ones are constantly full of bark.Do you put any additives in yours,ie would it damage it. Chickabee
I've used ACV and oregostim. I swear by oregostim it is brilliant. Ive now got 3 feed a chooks and 2 wet a chooks. Never any food wasted. Sometimes the drinking cup gets full of stuff, but it's so easy to clean out, I just run the hose in it. Apparently they were going to start supplying from Ireland, but I don't know when
suse71
Thanks Chickabee, I have a gravity drinker out where they free range but for when they are in the run it takes up too much room. Is it worth ordering the Wetachook from AU? Did you have to pay any customs duty at all?
Chickabee
I didn't have to pay customs and duty. If that happens e mail the company and they will refund you. Why don't you email them to see if they have a supplier in Ireland yet
