My friend bought two of these today. Twelve weeks old, they look like baby owls, all fluff and beak.

 

Any one else got Favorelles?

 

She also bought an Amber Star because she was too gorgeous to leave

I've had them. They are beautiful gentle birds but very prone to being bullied especially by hybrids so its worth your friend keeping a close eye on the amber

I've always rather wanted one of these and they are on my list of 'big girls to be got' and would be added right away if only I could persuade OH to allow me to have biggies. About a year ago there was a group of Omleteers who just loved them and I got so

She already has a CouCou and a bantam orpington. She will keep a close eye on them and if the Amber doesn't get on with them, she can come and live with me

I have one, have had her since she was a little chick and she is now over 5yrs old She is simply lovely. A more gentle, docile hen you couldn't hope to find & huge too. since she matured she has always spread her wings for others at night. My araucana has always slept under her. When she runs she is like a little dinasaur, so comical. Follows me around making gentle hooting noises. Now that she is getting on a bit she lets others groom her (my kindly ex batts do the grooming) Would have a whole flock of them if space permitted. Def a breed I would recommend. Ax
